View MoreAfter Frankenstein is an interdisciplinary piece of physical theatre that brings together movement, sound, text, objects, and visuals. The performance begins where the Frankenstein narrative ends, with the creator pursuing their creation. It continues in an endless cycle of encounters that re-imagines Mary Shelley’s Gothic tale – of a body assembled from other bodies – from the lens of the fragmentary and multiple identities of the twenty-first century. It tells a contemporary story expressed through running, modelling, dance, and boxing, as well as soundscapes, design projections, film, and object-puppetry. Performed by the SPA Collective 2023 and directed by Frank Camilleri, the performance is a co-production of the School of Performing Arts (University of Malta) and Icarus Performance Project (Malta).
